As part of the global GENERAL Inc., (formerly Fujitsu General Limited) network, GENERAL Australia and New Zealand is proactively working on the decarbonisation and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions to help achieve the global goal of carbon neutral.
We have made the shift to using 100 per cent renewable energy and zero-emission products at all our locations, and we are in the process of switching our company fleet vehicles to hybrids where feasible. All initiatives are reviewed regularly and evaluated
on their ongoing performance.
GENERAL Australia's head office in Sydney’s western suburbs has achieved a 5 Star Green Star – Interiors v1.2 certified rating from the Green Building Council of Australia. In the 2022 rating period, we achieved a 6 Star
National Australian Built Environment Rating System (NABERS) Water rating and a 6 Star NABERS Energy Whole Building rating.
GENERAL Australia and New Zealand is also expanding the R32 product offering, which is now available for most GENERAL AIRSTAGE air conditioners under 16kW. With a 67 per cent lower ‘Global Warming Potential Factor’ compared to the commonly
used R410A refrigerant, R32 offers equivalent air conditioner performance with reduced environmental impact.[1]

GENERAL Inc's Nocria room air conditioner for the Japanese market (2023 model) was awarded the inaugural Kawasaki CN* Brand 2023 Grand Prize. The prize was given by the Kawasaki Carbon Neutral Brand Promotion Council for its product and technology excellence. nocria is the first product to be certified under this new initiative.
