Fujitsu General Australia has appointed John Bourke and Alex Turner to national roles that will be instrumental in directing the company’s dealer and commercial channel activity Australia-wide.

John Bourke has been appointed National Commercial Manager and Alex Turner is the newly appointed National Dealer Manager.

“Fujitsu General is eager to make 2022 a year of growth, innovation and customer satisfaction, so it’s important that we attain the best, most experienced professionals to help make that happen,” said Peter Cashel, Head of Sales, Fujitsu General Australia.

“Both John and Alex have been part of the Fujitsu General family for many years, working their way from junior to senior roles in different areas within the business. This gives them an intimate understanding of what our customers want, and what the company needs to achieve targets and build strong industry and customer engagement.”

John Bourke first joined Fujitsu General in 2001 as an apprentice and then became an electronics technician before retraining as a refrigeration and air conditioning technician. In 2013, he moved into the Fujitsu Assist team as a Service Manager and in 2015 was promoted to National Product Manager. He left the business for a short time; however, returned in 2020 as National Dealer Manager.

“John has been an integral part of the dealer channel development and growth since his return and I’m very excited for the skills and support he will bring to the commercial team with his product and technical knowledge,” commented Cashel.

In 2006 Alex Turner joined Fujitsu General in the internal sales team and his flair for sales saw him progress, becoming NSW State Manager in 2014. His strength in sales saw Alex lead the NSW/ACT team to its first $100M year in 2017/18. He was also the recipient of the coveted Bill Gillet State Manager of the Year Award 2016 to 2018.

“On behalf of Fujitsu General, I congratulate both John and Alex in their appointments. I know they will continue to grow in the business as they have in their previous roles,” said Cashel.
