Fujitsu General has launched its new two-model R32 Multi 5 Rooms Systems, expanding its residential multi-room range with a highly efficient, low-environmental impact solution tailored to the needs of Australian homes. The systems connect up to five indoor units to a single compact outdoor unit, supporting both individual comfort and centralised control with space-saving installation benefits. This makes it ideal for spaces where ducted systems aren’t practical. The systems accommodate diverse room sizes and layouts, and is suitable for multi-storey homes, renovations, and dwellings with architectural constraints.
Kyle Rafter, General Manager of Product and Strategy, Fujitsu General Australia and New Zealand, said, “The R32 Multi 5 Rooms Systems reinforce Fujitsu General’s commitment to providing energy-efficient solutions that meet the unique demands of the Australian market. It’s an intelligent, space-saving alternative that delivers strong performance without compromising on comfort for townhouses, units, and properties with limited ceiling space where ducted systems aren’t viable. It’s also engineered for Australia’s challenging climate and is capable of operating in cooling conditions up to 50°C for unparalleled comfort year-round.”
The new systems provides heating and cooling capacity across 10kW and 12.5kW models, supporting 19 indoor unit models across six types, including wall mounted, slimline duct, mini duct, bulkhead, ceiling, and compact cassette. Homeowners can select the right fit for every room based on size, design, and usage, with compact indoor units and side service access on the outdoor unit supporting flexible installation for both new builds and retrofit projects.
The R32 Multi 5 Rooms Systems are also compatible with Fujitsu General’s anywAiR Wi-Fi adaptor II, giving users the ability to monitor and adjust comfort settings remotely via a smartphone or smart speaker. This functionality supports smarter energy use and improves convenience for households managing climate control throughout the day. Users can switch units on or off, fine-tune temperature settings, or adjust airflow without needing to be in the room for an intuitive, connected experience.
Kyle Rafter said, “The new systems are a practical response to how people use and manage air conditioning in their homes, giving customers control, efficiency, and flexibility in a single package. They also reflect Fujitsu General’s continued investment in sustainable innovation and smart home compatibility, both of which are key expectations for today’s homeowners and future-focused installers.”
The R32 Multi 5 Rooms Systems runs on R32 refrigerant, which has a 67 per cent lower global warming potential than the commonly used R410A refrigerant without compromising on performance1. It delivers both sustainability and operational benefits, achieving an Energy Efficiency Ratio (EER) of 4.10 and a Coefficient of Performance (COP) of 4.86 for the 36-class model. This completes Fujitsu General’s range of R32 multi-room systems, with both the Multi 3 Rooms and Multi 4 Rooms Systems also running on R32 refrigerant. This balance of performance and innovation is part of Fujitsu General’s wider approach to delivering long-term value across its product portfolio. The R32 Multi 5 Rooms Systems are available now through Fujitsu General’s authorised Australian dealer network.
