The Opportunity: General Manager | VIC/TAS

As General Manager, you’ll take full responsibility for the strategic, operational, and cultural leadership of the VIC/TAS region. Your role will be pivotal in aligning local operations with national goals, building a high-performing and engaged team, and driving long-term business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead with Purpose – Set the tone, inspire your team, and promote a culture of inclusion, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Strategic Leadership – Drive alignment between regional and national strategies
  • Commercial Ownership – Manage full P&L and ensure sustainable, profitable performance
  • Sales & Market Share Growth – Support the sales team in growing market presence and developing new business opportunities
  • Operational Excellence – Collaborate across departments to ensure smooth, high-quality service delivery
  • Team Development – Champion coaching, capability building, and internal progression
  • Forecasting & Planning – Oversee sales forecasting, inventory planning, and performance reporting
What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership or regional management role
  • A strong track record of leading direct and indirect teams
  • Solid financial and commercial acumen, including P&L ownership
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A collaborative approach and a focus on continuous improvement
  • Experience in the HVAC or technical services industry is welcome but not essential
Qualifications

Required:
  • Demonstrated senior leadership experience
  • Proven P&L responsibility and cross-functional collaboration
Desirable:
  • Degree in Business, Management, or a related field
  • Postgraduate qualifications (e.g. MBA) are highly regarded
