In 2017, we commenced our internship program and are seeking talented, driven and energetic university students completing their 3rd or 4th year Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree. The internship program located at our offices in Hamilton will run for approximately 12 weeks on a full-time and/or part-time basis.
You will be able to observe the Commercial team generating sales, continuing to build our presence in the commercial market and maintaining relationships with key external stakeholders.

This amazing opportunity will allow you to expand your product knowledge of air-conditioners and observe the strategic planning of large and small-scale projects. This is a fantastic stepping stone for individuals who want to gain insight into the HVAC industry and expand their verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Students will be exposed and be given the opportunity to grow many personal attributes including, how to have a strong customer focus, the ability to work in a team environment, to become more self-aware and strive for continuous improvement.
Interns will be reimbursed for their travel expenses. Individuals who have access to their own motor vehicle are preferred. Upon successful completion of the internship program the Company will provide a letter of recommendation.

“I have personally really benefitted from my time interning at Fujitsu General due to numerous factors. The role exposed me to the HVAC industry, allowing me to experience the process behind the business. I’ve been given the opportunity to communicate with not only internal professionals, but also externals, such as consultants, contractors and professional engineers. This isn’t something you really touch-base on at university, as a majority of that is mainly theoretical and technical work. Not only has this role expanded my knowledge in the industry, but it aided me in developing interpersonal skills as well as technical skills, such as reading HVAC drawings, mechanical specifications, equipment schedules, etc. To summarise, I believe the role really puts you in a position where you are in the middle of things and you can clearly see how your work contributes or influences the operations in the business”.
