What is the difference between Sound Power Level and Sound Pressure Level?

By Kyle Rafter  - May 01, 2025

Sound Pressure Levels and Sound Power Levels are both used by many manufacturers when describing the noise levels their air conditioners produce. These levels are measured differently, so to make sure you pick the air conditioner to suit your needs, be sure to only compare level figures that are the same.
