Fujitsu General has launched its large capacity R32 High Static Ducted series, completing the company’s R32 ducted family for the Australian market. The new range spans capacities from 18kW to 22.4kW, delivering powerful performance, advanced energy efficiency, and installation flexibility across both residential and commercial applications.
The R32 High Static Ducted series reflects Fujitsu General’s continued investment in next-generation air conditioning solutions that address customer demand for lower environmental impact and more intelligent climate control. It uses R32 refrigerant, which offers a 67 per cent lower global warming potential (GWP) compared with earlier R410A models, offering measurable efficiency gains.
The new models record improvements in key metrics, including Total Cooling Seasonal Performance Factor (TCSPF) and Heating Seasonal Performance Factor (HSPF), across the 65, 72, and 90 systems. This positions the series as a strong choice for both homeowners and businesses seeking comfort and sustainability without compromising performance.
Kyle Rafter, general manager of product and strategy, Fujitsu General Australia and New Zealand, said, “The new R32 High Static Ducted series demonstrates Fujitsu General’s commitment to delivering energy efficient, environmentally conscious products for our customers in Australia. By transitioning to R32 refrigerant across our ducted family, we are offering solutions that combine high performance with lower impact, helping customers reduce energy consumption while maintaining the powerful output they expect.
“The series has been designed to address the practical needs of our dealer network, installers, and end users. From a splittable, lightweight indoor design that is up to 31kg lighter and includes carry handles and a truss notch, through to slimmer outdoor units with reduced footprint and up to 108kg lighter weight requiring only 500mm clearance, we have focused on installation flexibility and ease of transport. At the same time, the indoor unit is now powered by the outdoor unit, reducing the need for additional supply lines. Advanced connectivity is also delivered through touch panel controllers, Modbus integration, and our anywAiR® technology creates smarter comfort management for end users. This is an important step forward in Fujitsu General’s product roadmap.”
A major advantage of the series is its installation efficiency. The indoor units feature a splitable, lightweight design to simplify transport and handling, while the outdoor units are slimmer and lighter, reducing space requirements by up to 49 per cent and weight by 108 kilograms compared with earlier models. Reduced pipe sizing and flared connections, instead of brazed, further reduce installation time and cost.
The systems are also engineered for seamless integration with modern control technologies. Each unit includes a standard touch panel zone controller and supports automatic static pressure adjustment, refrigerant cycle monitoring with optional accessories, and wireless LAN connectivity. This functionality makes the series suitable for both standalone residential installations and integration into smart building environments.
For consumers, the series enhances comfort and ease of use. Features such as custom auto mode, auto changeover, and automatic fan speed maintain consistent indoor climates with minimal intervention. Compatibility with Fujitsu General’s anywAiR® technology ducted controller allows for Wi-Fi control and zone management via a wall-mounted touch pad or mobile app, giving users flexibility to manage energy use and comfort levels anytime, anywhere.
With its combination of environmental benefits, high performance, and intelligent connectivity, the new R32 High Static Ducted series represents an important milestone in Fujitsu General’s ongoing commitment to innovation and customer value.
The R32 High Static Ducted series is available now through Fujitsu General’s authorised dealer network across Australia. The 65 model is offered in both single phase and three phase variants, providing greater choice for different installation environments.
